Meet Jason Mccurdy



Jason was born in Pocatello and has been a life-long resident of Idaho. He grew up with a love for the outdoors. He spent a lot of his spare time in his childhood hunting and fishing. He is passionate about archery and is looking forward to passing on the tradition to his children. He is a wildlife artist and has been working in his spare time perfecting his techniques for mounting big game heads. His family is his motivation and the joy of his life. He has a wonderful wife Jen, and three children.



After college, Jason started a career with Ponderosa Paint Co. and worked with them for many years. In 1999, he used his knowledge and experience to start Jace Painting. His company specialized in new residential construction painting which gave him extensive knowledge of the construction process. he turned over his business to his employees in 2004 and retained ownership until 2011. In 2004 Jason and his mother Judy started Red Door Realty in Twin Falls. In 2006 he earned his broker's license and was the designated broker until October of 2008. Jason brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Treasure Valley and has fallen in love with the area. His passion for real estate drives him to be the best choice for representation.



Jason earned a bachelor's degree in Business Management, is an associate broker, earned his GRI (Graduate of the Realtor Institute), is a member of the National Association of Realtor's Honor Society, and is a graduate of the Idaho Association of Realtors Leadership Academy. He has been active in the real estate community by serving as a local director, state director, president of the Greater Twin Falls Association of Realtors, and a chair person for several committees. In 2011, Jason completed his training in Six Sigma by earning his Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from Villanova University. He continues to persue education that helps him better serve his clients.

Jason plays an important role in the Smack Group. He specializes in locating sellers. Once a seller is located, Jason and Ti Smack perform a detailed and comprehensive analysis of the home. As a buyer's agent, Jason is dedicated to representing the buyer's best interests. Not all agents who show homes to buyers represent them! His duty is to locate the right home, negotiate on your behalf for the best price and terms, maintain confidentiality, and disclose all known information about the home. It is his goal to discover what you need and want in a real estate purchase. Most agents only search the MLS for active properties. In addition, Jason will search expired listings, withdrawn listings, and for sale buy owner properties. He has a vast network of clients and friends that also keep him informed on potential properties. This greatly increases the inventory in which his clients have to choose from. Finding the right property is only the beginning. Submitting an offer and negotiating that offer, navigating through the complicated title and escrow process is where most deals fall apart. His experience working not only with the title companies but also with the county, home inspectors, appraisers, and other agents helps keep the process stress free for his clients.
